• Q - How much do your tattoos cost?

    A - Price is based on so many different factors that coming up with a 'price list' is impossible. Things like the size, complexity, and location all determine how long a tattoo will take, therefore we cannot and will not give quotes over the phone or internet. We do have a shop minimum of $60, and for tattoos that can be done in one or two sessions we can usually give you a flat price. For larger work that requires more sittings we work at an hourly rate that ranges between $150 and $200. Anyone who has been tattooed by us will tell you that we work fairly quick, and we can promise that the price will always be fair.

    Q - Do you talk walk-ins?

    A - We usually have an artist available to handle walk-ins, but please call ahead. We try to do as much as we can, but sometimes we are simply too booked up to accommodate walk-ins.

    Q - Do you tattoo minors?

    A - We do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18.

    Q - What are your hours?

    A - We are open Monday through Saturday from 12 pm until 8 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm. We take our last walk-in one hour before close every day.

    Q - Can I have a consultation with my tattooer before we get started?

    A - Definitely! To set one up for yourself simply give the shop a call.

    Q - How do I set up an appointment for my tattoo?

    A - Our appointments require a minimum $60 deposit (this can vary depending on the size of the tattoo). We are able to take deposits via PayPal (admin@redanchortattoo.com), Venmo (@redanchortattoo) or credit card but it's usually best if you come to the shop so we can discuss your idea, size and pricing before we start drawing. From there we simply pick a day and time that suits you and we mark it in our calendar. Should something come up that requires you to move or cancel your appointment, please call us as soon as possible and we will reschedule you over the phone. All deposits are non-refundable.

    Q - What should I do on the day of my tattoo appointment?

    A - First of all, Relax! We are firm believers that a relaxed attitude equals an easier tattoo. Be sure to eat at least an hour before you come in, nobody likes getting tattooed on an empty stomach. Also, please be sure to wear or bring clothes that give us easy access to the area to be tattooed.

    Q - Do you take credit cards?

    A - We take all major credit cards, PayPal and Venmo for a deposit, but all tattoos are paid for in cash upon services rendered.

    Q - Do you do any kind of tattoo?

    A - For the most part, yes. Exceptions would include areas that simply won't heal well or hold up over time such as the tongue, inside lip, most finger tattoos or the bottom of the foot. Our main goal is to give you the best tattoo we can. If we feel like we aren't able to deliver that, we have no problem recommending another tattoo artist/shop who can.

    Q - What is the healing like?

    A - About the same as a sunburn or a skinned knee. We recommend a mild lotion like Aveeno for two weeks after cleaning your tattoo three times daily. A fresh tattoo should not be soaked especially in chlorine/pool or lake/sea water for about 2 weeks. Also a fresh tattoo should not be tanned for two weeks after receiving it and should always be protected with sunscreen after healing. We do offer Saniderm for $10, which is a product that can reduce healing time to under a week in most cases without the constant upkeep of washing and lotions.

    Q - Is there parking near the shop?

    A - Thankfully, yes. If you've been to Plymouth you know how nice it is to have a parking lot.
